The Company

ISMT North America is a wholly owned subsidiary of ISMT Limited (www.ISMT.com), formerly Indian Seamless Metal Tube Limited, and provides a wide spectrum of seamless tube products and a hands-on level of service for the diverse North America marketplace. Our capabilities are unique in the seamless tube industry in that we offer a totally integrated process for all aspects of tube production. This includes the manufacturing of customized alloy steels in our own mills and the production of value-added tubular products from finished tubes at our facilities, plus end-to-end logistical solutions.

ISMT Limited’s subsidiaries include ISMT Europe (www.ismteurope.com)and Structo Hydraulics(www.structo.se). Structo Hydraulics, with production facility in Sweden, is among Europe's leading suppliers of tubes and engineering production for the hydraulic industry.

Steel: For your customized alloy steel requirements, our team of engineers and metallurgists work with you to develop steels that are optimized for your engineering needs. We start by smelting high-quality scrap metals in an Electric Arc Furnace and then take the added step of Vacuum-Degassing to ensure that our steel is as clean as possible. All our steel meets SAE, ASTM, AISI, API and other well-known standards across industries.

Tubes: ISMT is one of the few companies in the world to have installed a state-of-the-art SMS Meer PQF® Mill for the manufacture of seamless tubes. ISMT now operates one PQF® mill and three Mannesmann equipped Assel mills, making ISMT one of the largest and most diversified producers of specialized seamless tubes worldwide with a capacity of 475,000 metric tons of tubes per annum. We manufacture hot-rolled and cold-finished carbon and alloy steel seamless tubes from 1/4 inches to 10 6/8 inches (6mm to 273mm). Finished tubes can then be delivered “as is” or be further modified for your final requirements by machining, heat-treating, annealing, swaging, upsetting or other value-added processes. As a result, our tubes are ideal for applications such as the manufacturing of bearings, automobile parts, drill rods, hydraulic cylinders, gas cylinders, boilers, heat-exchangers, etc.

Value-added products: Apart from tubes, we also manufacture a wide range of value-added products for the above industries. These include items such as bearing rings, gear blanks, gear shifter sleeves, cages for constant velocity joints, swaged and machined axles, API couplings, and a host of similar products.

R&D: Each year we invest heavily in research and in the development of new processes and products while keeping an eye towards reducing costs and improving quality. Our R&D and product support teams work closely with our customers to better understand their needs so we can tailor products that can help improve their productivity.
